Beyond Assured
Legal citations, checked right inside Microsoft Word.
Overview
Beyond Assured is a Microsoft Word add-in that helps legal teams find and manage the citations in their documents. It scans a document, detects its legal citations, and separates the ones that are already validated from the ones that need an attorney's review, all without leaving Word.
Some of my contributions
- Set up the project from scratch, defining the frontend architecture and codebase structure for the add-in.
- Built the citation detection and review experience, surfacing citations across full documents and flagging which ones needed attorney verification.
- Integrated Microsoft sign-in with MSAL and deployed the add-in on Azure.
- Delivered a demo-ready version on schedule, fixing issues and improving stability as the project moved quickly.
